Familias Unidas understand the multiple challenges our communities face, such as, the anxiety of having an open DCFS/Probation Department case, being a domestic violence victim, having intergenerational traumas, being a victim of sexual abuse, dealing with the barriers of a foreign language and culture, and/or having low-income and limited resources. Therefore, we work from a trauma informed care lens, we meet our clients where they are, and we practice from a holistic approach.

The butterfly has such powerful meaning other than its glory, a butterfly symbolizes change, rebirth, renewal and happiness.
